FOUR Mansfield artists, clients of Yooralla, have had their art works chosen for an exhibition in Melbourne.

Thomas Huber, Tim Mallows, Creag Dwight and Carl Harris hope to travel to Melbourne to see the exhibition, including their own works.

In its 12th year, State Trustees CONNECTED Art Exhibition celebrates artists with a disability or experience of mental illness, offering them the experience of showcasing their artwork.

The exhibition offers a platform for the artists to showcase their talents in painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, multimedia and photography.

When the exhibition began in 2003, only 22 artists were exhibited, but the popularity of the event has seen that number rise to more than 150, chosen from some 600 entries.

Thousands of people have visited the exhibition over the years.
