BORN in Sevenoaks, Kent, England, almost 67 years ago, Geoff Henwood has lived a rare life.
In it, Geoff has never been shy to step into the unknown.
And so it was, as a wee lad, that Geoff attended the Wildernesse School in Sevenoaks, before taking a scholarship to Tunbridge and realising his childhood dream of joining the Royal Air Force.
There wasn’t too much the air force could teach him though, as Geoff could already fly a glider plane at age 16 and had received his pilot’s licence at age 17.
“From the day I was born, I always knew I wanted to fly,” said Geoff.
After a couple of years in the RAF Geoff immigrated to Australia with his best mate Godfrey – both with designs on becoming commercial pilots.
