Drivers have lucky escape

ON ITS ROOF: The driver of this four wheel drive escaped injury although the same could not be said for the vehicle.

A TWO car collision in Ultimo Street, Mansfield last week saw the driver of one vehicle taken to hospital, while the driver of the second escaped unharmed.

Police and ambulance officers were called to the scene where they found one vehicle on its roof.

Senior Constable Dan Harrop reported the four wheel drive was clipped by a car that had passed through a give way sign.

He said the 4×4 had tried to dodge the oncoming car but was clipped on the rear side sending it over.

Both vehicles were extensively damaged.

While the driver of the car was taken to Mansfield District Hospital for observation, it was reported she received no serious injuries.
