MANSFIELD has received grants for Anzac projects from the Federal Government’s Anzac Centenary Program.

As part of the centenary of Anzac in 2015, the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) is making $125,000 available to fund projects across Indi.

Mansfield has received three grants, two to the Mansfield RSL sub-branch and one to the Mansfield Historical Society.

The larger grant to the RSL is for $8202, for information display boards, detailing involvement of local men and women in World War I.

“This will be a joint project of the RSL and the Mansfield Family History Group,” said RSL historian Graham Godber.

“We will be focusing on the involvement of Mansfield men and women on Gallipoli and the Western Front.”
