Bombers march on towards finals

AFTER six weeks of playing in adverse conditions (apart from the game against Tarrawingee) the Bombers appreciated playing on a firm ground and under a blue sky at North Wangaratta on Saturday.

AFTER six weeks of playing in adverse conditions (apart from the game against Tarrawingee) it was a pleasure to play on a firm ground and under a blue sky at North Wangaratta on Saturday.

After watching our seconds have a terrific second win in a row and listening to the constant shots of the rifle range next door, it was our turn to head into battle against North Wang.

North Wang were coming off a rich run of form, having beaten Goorambat and a close loss against Benalla All Blacks.

We were met by a very determined side, who was prepared to attack the ball hard and run the ball quickly from end to end.

It was an even first quarter with scores even at four goals straight to the home team versus 3.6 for Bonnie Doon.

Heath Fidock started the game off brilliantly, marking everything off centre half back and with Nathan Polkinghorne providing great drive from the backline.
