MANSFIELD’S under 12 boys basketball team came runners up in division four at the recent Victorian State Basketball Championships.

Held in Bendigo from March 27 to March 30, the team arrived in Bendigo on the Saturday morning full of excitement, anticipation and a few nerves.

More than 40 teams from all over country Victoria gathered in Bendigo to compete in the under 12 state championships.

Game one saw a few nervous moves from the Mansfield boys before settling into a close one against Moe.

The Eagles eventually won by three points but most of the games continued in this close fashion, making the spectators scream with excitement.

Nearby rivals Seymour was the opponent in game two, and after a very physical tussle the scores were level at full time.
