JUNIOR tennis players of all ages gathered last Friday night for an end of season hit, barbecue and presentations at the Elvins Street courts.

Over the summer season, more than 40 young players had participated in Saturday morning tennis, involving coaching, games, skill drills, and matches with club coach Danny Cahill.

Each season, the club, together with Cahill, presents a junior award to a female and male player, known as the St Francis Award, which recognises sportsmanship, attitude, willingness to listen and learn, and general demeanour on and off the court.
