Public input sought on review of speed limits

COMMUNITY INPUT: The speed limit on this part of the Mt Buller Road is under review.

SPEED limits on the Mount Buller Road will be reviewed.

It follows approaches to Mansfield Shire Council and Vic Roads by local police.

VicRoads Hume region director, Bryan Sherritt, said the community is invited to participate in a review of the speed limit on the Mount Buller Road in Mansfield.

“We have received safety concerns from the community about the section of this road between Highton Lane and the Mansfield Veterinary Clinic over recent months,” Mr Sherritt said.

“In response to these concerns we would like to hear from the Mansfield community and their thoughts on a change in speed limit at this location.”

This section of Mt Buller Road has a 50kph limit ending just before the BP Roadhouse some 100 metres in length; then changes to 80kph out to the veterinary clinic – approximately 1km; then goes to 100kph.
