Relay fundraiser was huge success

TEAM TIME: A few of the members of the Beauties and the Beast Relay For Life event organisers were (from left) Karen Fearon-Brown, Jesse Fearon-Brown, Heidi, Erin and Andrew Quain and Noel Willaton.

IT was more than stars that came out on Saturday night for the inaugural “Under the Stars” movie fundraiser for Relay For Life.

Organised by the Beauties and the Beasts Bendigo Bank team, the outdoor movie night saw some 250 people turn out to watch Paper Planes.

Before the movie children got to make and fly their own paper planes while sausage sizzles were served by members of Third Hand Volunteers.

More than $1500 was raised on the night which goes to the fundraising for this year’s Relay For Life to be held on October 10 and 11 at the Mansfield Showgrounds.

Team member Erin Quain said the night was a huge success and the support given by Mansfield Armchair Cinema, Third Hand Volunteers, The Sebel Pinnacle Valley, Duckids, Alpine Butchers and Mansfield Bakery was very much appreciated.
