THE spirituality centre at St John’s Anglican Church is an initiative of The Reverend Eden-Elizabeth Nicholls, parish priest.
Rev Eden, together with Anamaya Milner, Richard Merton and Anne Williamson, hopes the spirituality centre will offer a new and different way of reaching out into the wider community.
“The spirituality centre will offer workshops, seminars, film and discussion groups, meditation, etc and will continue to evolve and grow as we move forward,” Rev Nicholls said.
“Several working bees to build a labyrinth, a reflective garden, and community vegetable, herb and flower beds, as well as tables and chairs, in the front of the rectory at St John’s are also planned and we welcome anyone who would like to come and help create this space for the community to use (dates will be advertised in advance).
“It is hoped the current church house will eventually be upgraded and used for some of the spirituality centre’s workshops, counselling and other forms of ministry and outreach.
The first event held by the spirituality centre was a Celtic Spirituality Day on June 20.
