LOCAL builder Cam Gibney has won a prestigious Victorian Master Builders award for a house his team built on Lake Eildon’s shores.
The awards entered were the Master Builders 2015 Excellence in Housing and the category that Mr Gibney won was ‘Best Custom Home of the Year in the $600,000 to $800,000 price range’.
“After working with Brett and Donna Lewis on building their house, we were confident that the end product was pretty spectacular and decided to enter into the awards and see what other people thought,” Mr Gibney said.
“It’s nice to know that something we all think is pretty special others agree with.
“To get credit for all our hard work is a great achievement not only for myself but to Ryan Schelfhout my foreman on the job, and my whole team and all supporting trades,” he added.
Presentations were made at the Crown Palladium in front of an audience of over 1000 people and Mr Gibney had a good support crew there, including his wife Jo, foreman on the job Ryan Schelfhout, architect Ben Willick and the owners of the house, Brett and Donna Lewis.
