DELATITE has moved into third place on the Wangaratta and District Cricket Association A grade ladder after a sound win against Ovens Valley United.
Following its convincing 243 runs the previous week at the Lords Reserve in Mansfield, Delatite made constant inroads into the Ovens Valley batting line-up.
Parallel to Delatite’s efforts, the most productive partnership of 33 came late in the innings for the eighth wicket, but it was well and truly too late by then.
Visiting captain Corey Southern was the only batsman to show any real resolve, compiling a plucky 42.
Into double figures but not able to go on with it were Scott McNamara and Daniel Barton each with 17 and Brad Piazza 11.
Ovens Valley was dismissed for 120 in the 53rd over.
