AS it turns out, being a hypnotherapist has nothing to do with making people cluck like a chicken.
No one knows this better than Mansfield’s newest clinical hypnotherapist, Sandy Robinson.
Although that is by far the most common misconception about her field of work, Sandy is quick to point out that hypnotherapy is about guiding the sub-conscious.
“Hypnosis is about focusing the mind on what you want to change,” she explained.
“Will power is typically weak, and hypnosis is a phenomenal tool to help guide you in the right direction.”
Particularly effective in aiding weight loss and to quit smoking, helping people find their inner strength is a far cry from the girl who first wanted to be an air hostess.
