Bollards audit

THE new arrangement of bollards and concrete islands along Wangaratta's Phillipson Street could be remedied with VicRoads now undertaking an audit of the works.

Wangaratta council met with Regional Roads Victoria last Friday to assess to the road and the safety measures that have taken place.

To navigate around the bollards, school buses and other heavy vehicles are required to take a wide berth around the bollards to enter a side street.

Public feedback about the fluorescent orange bollards that prevent vehicles from making regular left hand turns into side streets has been mostly negative about the works that were introduced to protect recently added bike lanes.
