THE temperature was perfect and the sun came out from behind the clouds for the first Mansfield Mt Buller Cycling Club (MMBCC) road race of 2024 along Whitfield Road.
The swapping of marshals at the last minute was like trying to predict the buffeting of the swirling southerly wind.
And the windy conditions wouldn’t suit so many solo riders which was inevitable with numbers down to only 10.
