Feisty marsupial lives a short, fast life

TREE DWELLING: The Brush-tailed Phascogale is related to the Tasmanian devil, belonging to the same family of carnivorous marsupials called Dasyuridae. The Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority is raising awareness of the vital role tree hollows play in local ecosystems as part of its 2025 Year of the Tree Hollow campaign.

This month the spotlight is on the Brush-tailed Phascogale (Phascogale tapoatafa), a small, carnivorous marsupial native to the region.
