THE High Country Festival is set to dazzle visitors and locals this weekend with a variety of events for everyone.

Friday
Breakfast on the Lawn: 7 - 9am - High Street Median opposite the Post Office
Join this community event to kick off the High Country Festival and enjoy eggs, bacon, sausages. toast, orange juice, sparkling wine, tea and coffee. $15 for adults and $8 for kids supporting Mansfield Autism.

Mansfield High Country Festival Opening Night: 4 - 9:30pm
Right in the heart of Mansfield, the High St Median Strip comes alive with a huge line up of food vans ready to tantalize your taste buds. Carnival rides (including a kids pirate ship!), facepainting, bubble shows and more will provide fun, laughter and excitement as the town is filled with a range of live music. Bagpipes will ring out to signal the start of the ever popular torchlight parade, as we pay homage to the brave heroes of the emergency services. Finally, the climax unfolds in a burst of colour and light. Fireworks illuminate the night sky, a grand finale that leaves all in awe at the Botanic Park. No BYO, No Dogs.

Mansfield Open Studio Trail (MOST)

See a fantastic array of entries from sculptors in all kinds of media, from beginner to expert and join in the people’s choice vote.
Mansfield Bush Market: 8:30am – 2pm – Highett Street Median
This family friendly market is open to a wide variety of stallholders and is a popular day out for locals and visitors.
Mansfield CFA Open Day: 9am - 1pm - Mansfield CFA Highett Street
All are welcome to come along and have a look at our equipment, trucks and have a chat with our members. You can ask all about how to become a member, not just the Mansfield CFA but any CFA in your local area. At 10am,11am and 12pm there will be a demonstration on fire behavior with the use of a prop called the burn table.

The signature event of the Mansfield High Country Festival. Watch a wonderful array of decorated bikes, cars, ingeniously designed floats and community groups dressing up in Festival style. Prizes presented for the best entries in each category for the theme "Take me to the movies!"
AMPED UP! Amphitheatre Sound Sessions: 12:30 - 4:30pm - High Street Median - Eastern End.
Food trucks, coffee, wine & beer alongside local live musicians, drinks and more. Explore the art in the area with the sculptures, murals and interactive pieces.

Indigenous Mullum Wetlands Walk: 10am – 2pm – Mansfield Visitor Information Centre
Learn about the Indigenous flora, bush tucker and practices in this entertaining and educational walk with local Vern Simsen and Peter Roberts who recently assisted with Poa Grass burning for Mansfield Shire Council. Followed by a cuppa and yarn at the Gadhaba Gathering Place or Visitor Information Centre (weather dependant). Free but register via Council’s website
