AT approximately 2pm on Friday the 25th of April 2025 Mansfield Highway patrol were conducting speed enforcement along the Maroondah Hwy in Merton as part of operation Compass when they detected a Holden Commodore Sedan at 149kph in the 100kph zone.
A 20 year old man from Moorabbin was intercepted by police and his vehicle impounded for 30 days at a cost of over $2300.
