THE state opposition have tabled a petition in state parliament, signed by more than 21,000 Victorians, demanding the state government scraps the planned gutting of fisheries compliance and enforcement.
The state government plans to drastically slash the number of fisheries officer positions.
Locally, this could impact the Northern Region, including Snobs Creek where fisheries oversee Lake Eildon.
