A NEW mayor for Indigo Shire will be elected at council's special statutory public meeting on Tuesday next week at the Beechworth Memorial Hall.
Mayor Jenny O'Connor is not seeking re–election to the role due to personal reasons.
Her re–election to council and the mayoral role last year followed a preceding four–year council term where Cr O'Connor successfully retained the mayoral position over that duration.
