Eagles soar in double header

CLAIMING wins over longtime Mansfield sporting rivals Wangaratta and Myrtleford, the weekend of January 8 was a strong showing from the Eagles in their first home appearance.

After a slow start to their inaugural season with five straight losses, the Eagles came back from the Christmas break with something to prove. 

The first match of the double–header was to be played against Myrtleford, who in the previous round had capitalised on Mansfield's poor shooting performance to secure a six point victory.
