THE week just gone saw the staging of the Mansfield Ladies Golf Annual Bowl sponsored by Mansfield Betta Home Living.

All who attended went home slightly wind–battered, but with smiles all over.

With 65 attending, numbers were a little lower than usual, but everyone is finding golfers throughout the North East are still a little reluctant to get out and travel.

Nevertheless, we had 16 clubs represented from as far afield as Melbourne and NSW and the delighted winners of the Bowl were the team from Thurgoona of Denise Sellwood, Ruth Nugent and Vicky Kirby.

At times the wind was howling and it was hard to keep the balls on line, but the weather was otherwise kind and the course was picture perfect, with many a compliment coming in for our greenkeeping tea...
