Sizzling social stroke play

WITH the return to golf and with the restriction of no competitions to be held our golfing fraternity still managed to go for a stroll and enjoy some golf and camaraderie.

Tuesday had some golfers out and about enjoying a social round of Stableford, however, scores were not to hand.

Thursday resulted in around nine players out braving the elements on a wet and soggy track.

A social game of Stableford was held for those playing.

The scores still are improving, with the best scores being returned by Brad Grant leading the field, with Tom Swan also returning a reasonable score.

There was at least one shot on target for the day with Brad Grant hitting the 18th green.

Saturday saw a social round of stroke off the gold tees.

With 46 players out on the paddock the rivalry was certainly to be expected.

Although there was no official competition, bets between the groups certainly kept the players on their toes.

The best score of the day was Steve Chisholm with 58 nett from Jarrod Heath and Peter Dolling.

Until golf can return to normal competition, we will continue to have social golf on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays for the fellas.

The club is also trialling a new set of hole ratings for the men on their scorecards while we are in the social golf situation.
