This week the ladies Championship kicked off with a fantastic field of 36 playing and some great scores recorded.
Andrea Marsden leads the Championship by one shot with 83 gross, from Sheryl Sargent on 84, but Sheryl took the handicap win for the day, with nett 67 on a count back to Andrea... so it is all looking very close.
But back to Tuesday for those results.
14 ladies turned out for a final practice round of stableford and Jill Prosser was the in-form lady, winning with 21 points.
Tuesday regular high achiever, Pam Abbott, was runner up with 19 and Marion Foster and Margie Franke-Williams both had 18.
On to Wednesday and the sun was shining , everyone was full of anticipation.
You'd have to say, most were not too disappointed.
A Grade as mentioned was the tussle between Sheryl and Andrea, with Sheryl winning on a countback with nett 67.
Andrea was runner up and Sue Parsons took third with nett 68.
In B grade, Shirley Nolan had a day out with nett 69 on a countback from Margie Frake-Williams, while Marion Foster was third with 72.
Sue Parsons was the in form putter winning that comp with 24 putts.
For the all important Championship off the stick, Andrea Marsden leads overall with Sheryl hot on her heals, B grade is led by Sue Parsons with 92, followed by Margie Franke-Williams and Millie Coming both on 96.
In C grade, Shirley Nolan leads the way on 99 with Kerri Nicol on 104.
Finally in D Grade, Pauline Ahola leads with 109 and Marion Foster is close behind with 110.
This week was also round four of the Premier League.
The winning teams were the Eagles, the Swingers, the Gamblers and the Lost Balls.
For those who still needed more golf, Saturday's stableford round attracted 20 players.
Shelly Comerford was in form, winning with 37 points, followed by Shirley Nolan with 36 and Marion Foster 35, on a countback from Glenis Skinner and Pauline Ahola.
