Two Mansfield venues will share in state government grant funding designed to support Victoria’s live music industry.

Delatite Wines and Luna Bar Village Green have each secured grants under the latest round of the 10,000 Gigs: The Victorian Gig Fund, part of a broader $3 million investment supporting local musicians, bands, venues and festivals across the state.

Delatite Wines will receive $11,000 to host 20 live music gigs, while Luna Bar will receive $5500 to deliver 10 gigs.

They are among 136 venues across Victoria to receive funding through the program, which aims to support paid performances by local artists in pubs, clubs and other performance spaces.

The funding comes from the state government’s 10,000 Gigs initiative and forms part of a broader $35.4 million music industry package announced in the 2023/24 State Budget.

“We’re backing our artists, venues and festivals to continue delivering the incredible music, performances and events that form part of our cultural fabric and make us the music capital of Australia," said Minister for Creative Industries Colin Brooks.

“We’re ensuring our live music scene takes centre stage, while supporting jobs in this important part of our $41 billion creative economy.”

Chief Executive of Music Victoria Fiona Duncan also welcomed the support.

“Music Victoria welcomes the Victorian Government’s continued investment in the state’s live music festival sector through the Live Music Festivals Fund – backing the industry to thrive into the future," she said.

“This support plays a crucial role in sustaining a vibrant and diverse festival landscape, creating opportunities for Victorian artists and creative workers, and delivering significant cultural and economic benefits to communities across the state.”
