MANSFIELD businesses are now eligible for the $10,000 Bushfire Recovery grants after it was announced last week that the federal and state governments would include new local government areas (LGAs) in the funding pool.

Making the official announcement at Wangaratta, federal Independent MP Helen Haines (MHR, Indi), said the news came after five months of lobbying.

“It will be a great relief for our small businesses,” Dr Haines said.
