MANSFIELD'S annual Buy Local campaign ended on December 18, with lucky shoppers winning a variety of prizes.

Sarah Anstee has won an entertainment package from Betta Electrical after shopping at the Mansfield Newsagency while Pamela Buchholz has won two cruiser bikes from All Terrain Cycles after shopping at the Mansfield Regional Produce Store.

Monika Muller, Kelvin Cope and Tanya Harms have each won a $500 voucher from the Mansfield and District Community Bank after shopping at Loyola Jewels, The Mansfield Regional Produce Store and Betta Electrical respectively.

Mansfield Courier Advertising Manager Leah Scott said the community participation has been great and it had been uplifting to see the community get involved.

“It is really important to support local businesses, especially in the run up to Christmas,” she said.

“It is a great opportunity to give back to the community and help local business owners keep our town bright, vibrant and interesting.

“We look forward to running the Buy Local campaign next year.”

The Buy Local campaign started on November 22 and offered more than $3000 worth of prizes to spend locally, donated by participating local businesses.

Some 25 plus local businesses took part this year, many of which also donated additional vouchers as prizes.

The only entry requirement was to 'shop locally' from participating stores, with each purchase over $25 receiving an entry voucher.

The Mansfield Courier and North East Media wish everyone living and holidaying in the Mansfield Shire a very Merry Christmas.
