WHILE Mansfield Shire Council’s overall performance rating in the recent annual Community Satisfaction Survey has increased by one per cent point to 52, at last week’s meeting council acknowledged that at six points lower than the state-wide average, there are several areas which require more attention.

The survey, by JWS Research, included the responses of 400 residents within Mansfield Shire aged over 18 years, to questions about all council services.

Mansfield mayor Marg Attley said while it was pleasing to see improvements in ratings for elderly support, community consultation and engagement, and community decisions, council had agreed on a plan to address poor ratings on unsealed roads and town planning, and to continue to focus on community consultation.
