MANAGING director of Euro Fireplaces, Christian Bergmoser, believes he has changed the way Australian homes are being heated throughout winter after introducing Euro Fireplaces.
Since commencing his business in Mansfield more than 10 years ago his sales and distribution have increased more than 10 fold.
Last year alone he imported 22 x 40ft containers of heaters.
"The first thing you'll notice about a Euro Fireplace is the design," Christian said.
"Yes, it's European, however, design doesn't end with the outer styling.
"Superior European design also results in warmer fires, using less wood, with fewer emissions."
Unlike traditional fan forced wood heaters, Euro heaters are designed to maximise heat output while using the smallest amount of wood possible and can burn cheaper woods, such as mountain ash, rather than red gum or yellow box.
This is achieved using a natural convection system, which gently distributes warm air throughout the home.
"This is complemented by a lovely radiant heat, which will keep you warm when standing beside the fire," Christian said.
"It's that traditional atmosphere, sometimes referred to as the 'healthy heat', that's impossible to achieve with gas or electricity heating and the reason we still love our fires so much."
Euro heaters draw cold air from open spaces throughout the home, warm it up and then distribute it back into your rooms creating a continuous cycle.
As well as pushing the envelope of efficient heating in Australia, Euro Fireplaces is a leader in Heat Bank technology.
When incorporated into wood heaters, materials such as Magnesite Bricks and Refractory Concrete will absorb and retain heat during a normal burn and slowly emit it overnight, or long after the fire has gone out.
Euro Fireplaces are the sole importer of a range of European manufactured fireplaces from leading manufacturers including Thorma and Haas + Sohn, with style ranges including Milano, Falun Andorra and the Buller groups.
They come in free–standing heaters or can be built into fireplaces and feature walls.
Euro Fireplaces are clean burning, more economical than standard fireplaces, easy to light and require minimal cleaning.
Christian invites those who are looking to replace their existing wood heaters or building a new home and looking for more efficient heating, to call into their showroom on Mt Buller Road to discuss your needs.
Euro Fireplaces also has showrooms in Adelaide, Lilydale and Wodonga and also offer distributors across Australia from Queensland through to Tasmania.
