RICK Freitag has recently moved to Mansfield with his wife Gabi and her 89–year–old mum.
Despite Gabi's plans for him to initially take it easy and work towards retirement on their Montana farm, Rick is not one to sit back, especially when he has practical skills he can share.
Rick brings a lifetime of firsthand experience in accounting software, computer systems and customer service to the region, with the last 20 years dedicated to holding hundreds of free workshops.
These have directly benefited and helped over 6000 attendees ranging from fellow peers, accountants to business owners and their bookkeepers.
"I personally believe that operating a business and bookkeeping can be fun, and that practical on–going education is the key," said Rick.
"At these workshops the emphasis is to discuss your business pain points, priorities and the practical tools that you need in order to operate a profitable micro, small or medium–sized business.
"I also address any bookkeeping and IT questions you may have."
Rick is keen to bring these workshops to Mansfield and will be conducting the first of many free sessions being on Saturday, April 9 at the Delatite Hotel with registration a must at www.mansfield.events.
To help get this first event kick–started, you simply must be there to get special priority access to Rick's 24/7 online complimentary Business Resources.
Rick's significant experience in his chosen profession led to the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB) awarding him the first life membership of the organisation in March 2016.
Rick was also one of the thought leaders in the bookkeeper and software partner communities that led to the establishment of the ICB in Australia.
A long term MYOB certified consultant (since 1993) and an even longer–term bookkeeper, business advisor and implementer of IT solutions into businesses, Rick has been running network meetings before the ICB existed and even set up its program of network meetings.
In 1997 Rick received the Office of Fair Trading "Excellence in Customer Service" award.
He has been a registered BAS agent since the start of 2010 and a member of the ATO BAS Agents Advisory Group (and before that the Bookkeeper Consultation Group).
