It was another great week of golf in Mansfield with some big numbers in competitions and wild weather at times.
Thursday was a large field of 99 players with the introduction of late tee times for daylight savings.
We have also completed the first two rounds of the club championships with a good size field of over 50 players.
More on that next week though.
Tuesday we had a game of foursomes, with Taki Murakami and Aaron Roberts finishing in 3rd place with 74 nett, Alan Eustace and Alan Parrott 2nd with 72.5 nett and Chris Purcell and Adrian Smith 1st with 72 nett.
Thursday was a large field which gave us four grades. In the D grade, William Vaughan was 3rd with 37pts, Lachlan Revell was 2nd with 39pts and the winner was Col Whytcross with 43pts.
C grade saw Charlie Heath 3rd with 36pts, Paul Bell was 2nd with 37pts and Nate Longstaff won the day with 37pts also.
B grade 3rd place was Adam Holt with 36pts, Jack Clydesdale was 2nd with 37pts and Chris Byers was 1st with 39pts.
A grade 3rd place was Tim Hook with 38pts, Oliver Shaw 2nd with 39pts and the winner was Jamie Longstaff with an incredible 42pts.
Saturday was the first round of the club champs as well as a normal stroke round competition.
3rd place in C grade was Trev Williams with nett 72, 2nd place was Jay Kynersley with nett 71 and 1st place went to Tom Swan with nett 70.
B grade 3rd place was Chris Byers with nett 71, 2nd place was Sam Guppy with nett 69 and the best score of the day was Ken Neale with nett 65.
A grade 3rd place was Rod Sargent with nett 70, 2nd place was Kai Longstaff with nett 70 also and the winner was Graham Coker with nett 68.
Sunday was the same deal again with only two grades.
B grade saw Alan Parrott 3rd with nett 70, 2nd was Jay Kynnersley with nett 69 and 1st place went to Tom Swan with nett 66.
A grade saw Tim Hook 3rd with nett 72, 2nd place was Ross Brown with nett 71 and 1st place went to Rod Sargent with nett 69.
Next Sunday we will be having the Mens presentations after the final round of the club champs with a BBQ supplied.
