THE U18 Girls Gold Basketball Team shone brightly during last weekend’s competition at Wangaratta.
The girls came into the second tournament of their season excited and ready to play their hardest.
Their weekend started Saturday morning when they faced Shepparton Gators.
They started strong, coming out on top with the final score being 41-25.
This win gave the girls the boost they needed and they headed into the second game with a new found confidence.
They played Deniliquin, having a massive win, the score being 76-24.
With two wins under their belts, the girls were having a great time.
After a good night's rest the girls played against Wodonga Wolves, unfortunately not winning this one.
They moved onto their final game of the tournament playing Benalla Breakers, and once again coming out with a win, the score being 52-24.
With the final win the girls made it into the grand final.
They were so excited and ready to hit the court and smash it.
The game was a good one, the girls showing off their skills, hitting their shots and showing off the Mansfield potential.
The girls came out on top, beating Wodonga 35-30.
It was a great way to end the Wangaratta tournament.
