U12s Gold Basketball

ON the weekend the Under 12 gold girls played at the Shepparton basketball tournament, proudly representing the Mansfield Eagles basketball club.

It was a great weekend for the girls, playing three games on Saturday and one game Sunday morning in Kyabram.

As a result of their amazing teamwork and determination the girls came away winning all four games, earning their place in the grand final to go up against Bendigo Braves.

The grand final was the toughest game of the weekend.

Bendigo Braves came out with high defensive pressure, meaning the girls had to dig deep and rely on each other and their skills to play some very hard and fast basketball.

Unfortunately, the end result didn’t go our way, with the final score of 22-10 making the girls the Division 2 Runners-Up.

Coach Glenn Thornton and Assistant Coach John Harrop couldn’t be prouder of these girls, their teamwork went to the next level this weekend and it really showed on the court.

The girls are always willing to work hard whilst having fun together, with lots of smiles & laughter in every game.

A huge thanks to the parents and supporters for all your hard work getting these girls around to each game, so they can do what they love.
