Erin Brond – Netball

WHAT a season for junior star Erin Brond, who is the Sportsperson of the Year nominee for the month of August.

Erin brought home the league best and fairest award for C grade polling 28 votes ahead of the runner up on 23 – a huge achievement.

Erin showed outstanding form and leadership in 2022, leading her team into finals after finishing the season in second place.

The 17 and under side unfortunately went down in overtime after the comeback of a lifetime 52 – 45.

Erin then deservedly received the club best and fairest award, capping off a brilliant season.

In addition to her netball talents, Erin has also played for Delatite Cricket Club's Under 16 team and with Delatite's B Grade side, after a Christmas present of a cricket bat and ball a couple of years ago inspired her to try her hand at the sport.

A talented sportsperson with a bright future, and a deserved August nominee for Rotary's Sportsperson of the Year award.
