THE AFL North East Border under-15 V-Line teams have been announced with local players Andy Friday, Liam Smith and Sam Kain all making the cut.

In a first for the shire, three players were chosen for the under-15s the largest local intake for the team in a season, with the boys playing in the V-Line cup in Ballarat over September 23 and 24.

Two teams of 23 were selected from a pool of over 150 boys nominated for the honour, with Sam Kain making division one and Andy Friday and Liam Smith playing in division two.

Representing the girls, local Phoebe Guppy made the cut playing for the Goulburn Murray Bushrangers under-15 girls in the V-Line cup.
