THE Mansfield lady golfers just keep supplying the headlines for these reports.

Firstly, on Monday the ladies won their summer pennant match against Jubilee.

This puts Mansfield at the top of the ladder by only half a point.

With one round to go before the finals this will be another nail biter.

On Tuesday Marion Foster came with her A game and won with a great 23 points from Marion Mitchell 19 and Patsy Smiles 17.

Now for something different, Wednesday was Par off the Golf Tees.

31 ladies were not deterred and bought in some more great scores.

Sue Crow won A Grade with +4 from Linda Terry +3 and Andrea Marsden +1.

Susan Kinloch won B Grade with a very nice +5 from Sharon Gysberts +3 on a countback from Robyn Bridgewater.

Line balls to Nicki Cooper, Marg Franke-Williams and Millie Cumming all on +1.

Nearest the pins were Linda Brook, Sheryl Sargent, Millie Cumming, Kerri Nicol and Sharon Gysberts.

The Premier League semi-finals for next week were also decided.

The winning teams were Stingers to play the Wanderers and the Lassy’s to play the Chocolate Box.

Thursday at Myrtleford provided the headline.

A large contingent of ladies played for the prestigious Sally Symonds 4BBB trophy.

In form Kerri Nicol and Sharon Gysberts combined beautifully to win the trophy with 50 points.

Fantastic result.

The pairs of Linda Brook and Shelly Comerford 48 points, and Colleen Leeds and Shirley Nolan 47 points, were fourth and fifth.

Saturday’s Stableford was won by Linda Brook 34 points on a countback from Andrea Marsden and Millie Cumming third on 33.

Sheryl Sargent had the nearest the pin on third.
