LAST week Eva Clysdale received the Goulburn Valley League (GVL) U15 Best and Fairest Jacqui Hudgson medal at the GVL awards night.

“I’m very proud of myself, but it was completely unexpected as I was up against some amazing girls,” she said.

Eva has played netball since she was seven and she completes between six to nine hours of training every week.

“My favourite part about playing netball is making friends,” she said.

Eva aspires to progress up to playing netball at an elite level in the future.

“To do this I will have to try-out for one of the Victorian Netball League Teams and become a training partner for them,” she said.

“Then as you get older you can get selected into one of their teams and play in the Victorian league.”

This year Eva was selected for the Bendigo Academy of Sport and she has been training with them throughout the year.

Later this year, Eva is going to trial for the North East Academy.
