OUR first quarter started off and Tatura came out strong.

Our defenders worked hard against their tall goalers and our mid-courters helped bring the ball down from every intercept they got.

At the end of the first quarter, the scores were eight all.

We knew this would be a close game.

In the second quarter, Tatura’s defenders scored off some of our missed goals, which helped them get a two goal lead at the end of the first half.

After a quick motivation speech by our coaches Leonie and Bella, we were ready to step up and take the lead from Tatura.

Our hands over pressure in the third quarter helped everyone get intercept, tips as Tatura struggled to find players to pass to.

Our transition down the court flowed nice and quick meaning their defenders couldn’t pick off our passes.

By the end of the third quarter, we had regained our lead and the scores were 25-26.

At the start of the fourth quarter, everyone had reset and taken a deep breath.

The girls were determined to take this win home.

In the final quarter, the team put all of our training work onto the court.

The team managed to break many of Tatura’s centre passes and score off them.

The siren went for the end of the game and everybody was so happy that we managed to win 36-28.

Nobody gave up and nobody let their heads drop.

Best on court went to Ellie Marks and our coaches award went to Harper Smith and Maddie Berry.

Bring on the semi-final.
