THE ISSF President's Cup 2022 is currently taking place in Cairo, Egypt with competition being held from November 28 to December 4 Mansfield's Catherine Skinner and invited to compete along with shooting partner Laetisha Scanlon.
The top 12 ranked athletes in each Olympic event according to the 2022 World Ranking were invited to take part in the competition, with Skinner (World Number 4), and Scanlan (World Number 7) both included in the President's Cup, Women's Trap Event.
Winners of the President's Cup will receive the Golden Target, the Best Athlete of the Year award.
Skinner last week said, "To be invited to the Presidents Cup is always a reward in itself.
"There has always been a level of prestige attached to World Cup final, as it is an acknowledgement to a strong performance across the entire calendar.
"I look forward to this event to close out the season of 2022."
Speaking on Australia's involvement in the President's Cup, Shooting Australia CEO Adam Sachs said, "Shooting Australia is delighted that two of our leading athletes' performances have been recognised through their invitation to the Presidents Cup.
"We know they will represent Australia with pride as Catherine and Laetisha are provided this terrific opportunity to close out a successful 2022, before their attention returns to continuing on the road to Paris 2024."
