THE Australian women's shotgun team has continued their international success winning the gold medal at the ISSF Shotgun World Cup in Lonato, Italy.
Having won the gold medal at the Cyprus World Cup in March, the trio of Mansfield local Catherine Skinner, Penny Smith and Laetisha Scanlan were top qualifiers for the gold medal match after collectively hitting 200 out of 225 targets.
The Aussies met team Italy in the gold medal match where they displayed great focus and determination as they put on a dominant performance to win the Gold Medal by seven points to Italy's one.
In their first time competing together, Skinner and her teammate James Willett followed with a bronze medal in the Trap Mixed Teams.
The duo shot a qualifying score of 135 out of a possible 150 targets to land them a place in the bronze medal match against the Czech Republic where they finished seven points to three to win the bronze medal.
